Michelle Dang, MD
Michelle Dang, MD is a detail-oriented and attentive pain management specialist serving The Woodlands, TX. A Houston Native, Dr. Dang attended the University of St. Thomas, graduating with honors. She then attended the University of Texas, Houston (UT Health) where she received her medical degree, and completed her residency in anesthesiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX (UTMB Health). After practicing anesthesiology at her alma mater, UT Health, she then completed a fellowship in pain medicine with a focus on interventional practice at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
Dr. Dang is a part of Texas Partners in Pain Management. She is a board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology. She is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Dang is currently pursuing an integrative medicine fellowship with the University of Arizona in order to bring an integrative approach to managing pain through the use of mind body techniques and nutrition. She has also completed an RYT-200 training in yoga as well as a certification in restorative yoga. She is dedicated to helping patients receive the treatment they need so they can enjoy a positive and fulfilling lifestyle. Patients see her for a variety of reasons, including neck and back pain, joint pain and muscle pain. She is well versed in performing injections including epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation procedures, trigger point injections, knee and shoulder joint injections, and acupuncture.
Michelle Dang, MD is sensitive to the uniqueness of each patient’s situation and adapts her consultations and treatment options appropriately to accommodate individual needs and concerns. During her consultations, she fully explains patients’ conditions and helps them choose an appropriate treatment plan.
In her spare time, Dr. Dang enjoys spending time with her family, her two dogs and two cats, practicing yoga, running, cooking, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
